Eddie will read this textbook.

Yes he will.  Watch him open the textbook.  Watch him lovingly examine the brightly colored headings.  Watch him check out the cracks in the ceiling and gaze longingly at the remote control.  Watch him suddenly gain interest in his chinchilla.  Watch him feed his chinchilla a raisin.  Watch him pick up his pencil and paper and begin to take notes about the incredibly fascinating things he will undoubtedly read in this textbook.  Watch him put the pencil down to reach for a drink of water.  Watch him grow upset when he can’t find the pencil again.  Watch him drop his book and lose his page.  Watch him decide he actually ought to get up and use the bathroom before really getting into the material.  Watch him suddenly be struck by a craving for carbohydrates of any kind.  Watch him sit down, put the book in his lap and flip to the appropriate page.  Watch him grow so fascinated by a single sentence that he reads it over and over and over and over again.  Watch him set the book aside, suddenly struck by the notion that he must log on to Tumblr and write out this whole experience.
